Monitoring IM messges in real time?

Does anyone know of a program that can IM messages from other users to your machine instantly? I walked by a supervisor's desk and he had some software running and messages were popping up from other users using Yahoo messenger therefore he must have some type of spyware installed but I don't know what. What software can do this?

Do you allow IM in your business? If not block the ports on your firewall. Then take it from there.

A web search for "yahoo messenger" and "keylogger" may bring you the results you're looking for.

Several different programs are available.

That is one nasty programme crow. Not sure it would be totally legal with the data protection and privacy acts in the UK. I say this as someone who doesn't know these areas well, but it seems extremly intrusive.

I'm not sure either, but it is their network, and probably can monitor whats going on.
