Monitoring CPU and HDD temperature 1

I would like to know how to set up temperature monitors for my Hard disks and CPU.

I am revamping my case and it would be good to have some temperature monitoring. By this I mean so software such as gkrellm can read the CPU and hard disk temperatures.

Any help or pointers to some websites would be greatly appreciated.

Samsonx, please note that you have to physically have the hardware monitoring chips on your motherboard, otherwise you will not be able to get temperature readings.
