Hi,
I am looking for a solution that monitors (and alerts by email and SMS) Cognos processes when they hang or go over a pre-defined threshold, namely the following:
cogbootstrapservice.exe
BIBusTKServerMain.exe
Java.exe
I am currently using a monitoring tool called Nagios to monitor cogbootstrapservice.exe.
I understand that Java.exe is a service that is also used by other applications (like Internet Explorer), and therefore would like to only monitor the relavant (sub-)services (for example Agent Service, Batch Report Service, etc...) that appear listed in Cognos Server Administration.
Regarding the BIBusTKServerMain.exe, it is probably a bit more tricky because there usually is more than one instance of it.
Any ideas of which tools I can use to achieve my objective?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Dinho
