Been having problems with terminal server users connections being slow. Used performance monitor with following results:
Pages/sec = 8.47 avg
page faults/sec = 500.294
avail mem = 529mb average
cache faults/sec = 21.690
avg disk write Que length =.086 Max =1.168
%disk time = .067
I have also just spent two days clearing off spyware because one of the employees was using the server for a work sta. That seems to be fixed. However I am confused by performance readings. Disk has about 3.5g of space left. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix high page fault.
Thanks, Boardswapper

I know this indicates there is not enough memory. However did you notice there is always on average 500mb of memory available ? This indicares there is something else going on. I now suspect there may be a proplem with the installed memory. the average available is about half of the total 1GB. Could the total amount be showing but half not working ? I dont know. I am going to do a memory diagnostic to check this out. Thanks for your comment.

vbrocks, I'm seeing the same behavior on my Domino server. I had 1GB ram and upgraded to 2GB. The server still shows about 600MB available memory but the Domino services were using almost 4GB (yep 4GB) of memory. The pagefile was being slammed and my page faults counter was almost 1500/sec. I recycled some of the services to clear up memory but I have to resolve why physical ram is not being properly utulized. Any updates?

thanks
