Recently I've noticed wave like lines on the monitor screen. Can anyone suggest a possible reason for that?

Have you tried degause? It could be that or the refresh rate. Is there anything else plugged in to the same power supply (ie: a heater or fan plugged into the same outlet)? We had a similar problem here only it was intermittent wavy lines. Found out there was a heater plugged in on the other side of the wall but on the same power system and when it came on the monitor did a dance.

yes i have a table lamp plugged in.

Always start with the simple stuff first. Did unplugging the lamp help?

If not, try degauss. You should find it in the monitor settings on the monitor itself.

If that doesn't work then you may have to reset the refresh rate.
