Is it possible to monitor the type of traffic and dscp for interfaces on Catalyst 3550 switches? Something like netflow on routers...
I had a Avaya C460 L3 switch earlier (different company) and used a utility to monitor traffic types and priority.. I think this utility was using SMON to do this..

Is this possible on Cisco switches? Any freeware windows utility?

thanks in advance!

There is a very nice tool called nTop. it runs on *nix and windows. Combined with SPAN on cisco it can provide a good result

thank you very much! I will check out these!

Ntop have a lot of great features! :)

Is there a windows utility to monitor dscp on a interface? I want to monitor number of packets and packet size in different precedenses and queues..

I believe cisco provided QoS MIBs and any decent SNMP collector should be able to handle it
