I have a multi site customer. All sites are ip500V2. Some sites are still at 8.1 others are at 9.0 and 9.1. They are connected via MPLS and H450 trunks not SCN. I have Admin suite 9.1.5 build 145 loaded at the main location. I can access all sites via Manager & System status from the main location. I cannot access any site from the main location that is 9.0 or 9.1 with Monitor. I could not connect monitor with the 9.1 service pack 4 either. Only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling the Admin suite and doing a fresh install. Might be worth a try. Any suggestions?

reset the monitor password from security settings and you should be good to go

Thanks Joe, but I already tried changing it back to default and then changing it to a new password. Couldn't connect with either password.

I have to ask but you did save and merge the changes from the security settings right?

wow I had the same issue on a 9.1.4 reset monitor password and all was well, As you stated I would uninstall and then reinstall the admin suite and try again, very weird.

Just di a re-install of 9.1.5 before I reset password. Still no connect.

Anyone else have any insight as to why he can not connect to monitor?

Update - now The only releases I can't connect to is 9.1.3 & 9.1.4. Will try loading 9.1.4 Admin.

So just to be on the same page here when you tested your manager software was at 9.1.5 correct, if this is true I have not used 9.1.5 yet currently using 9.1.4 and had no issues once I reset the monitor password fro security settings, let me know how you make out.

I can't say I have ever had a problem with monitor. I just tested with a 8.1 version of monitor connecting to a 9.1.5 IPO and had no issues. You might try a different PC with a fresh install if it is possible. There may be something wrong in Windows registry that's causing the problem.

loaded 9.1.4 suite, changed password to default, tried connecting to a 9.1.4 system, no go. Changed monitor password and tried connecting again still no go.

UPDATE

If I change the protocol in Monitor to HTTPS and log in with the Administrator user name and password I can connect to 9.1 units but not to 9.0 or 8.1 units. I have to connect to those via UDP. Wonder if that is a new requirement to use Monitor in 9.1?

There is a security option in IPO to require username AND password to connect with monitor. Disable that and you should be fine.

He he he.
No amriddle. They're pleased to aim.
