I have two computers and have switched monitors. One system works great but the other goes through boot process, (I can see it on the screen) but then goes black-blank. Mouse and keyboard get no response.

Big on-off switch repeats the process.

What else besides the video card being too fast for the monitor can it be.

TIA

Your resolution or color settings are too high for the monitor.
Restart the computer in safe mode, remove the monitor from device manager (if it's there) set it to 640x480 and 256 color.
Restart, redetect PnP monitors, or enter the correct monitor type, then you should be able to set the color and res back to where you want it. Cheers,

Tell me how can i connect to net via my computer through mobile phone

My monitor blacks out on the right and left sides. Then condenses the screen view to a 3 inch wide strip down the center of the monitor and i am unable to read anything. does this mean my monitor is shot? or can i fix it?

A TV shop can fix it. But they will charge almost as much as a new one will cost. Ed Fair
