Hi,

This will be my second question of the day..hehehe

Most sites I and connect with the avaya tool "monitor" never actually connects. It just sits there and tries to connect and never actually does, nor does it ever return an error.

I am fairly certain all my ports are opened up, and for the most part, I communicate with each of my IP Office systems across the WAN and I can remote control each PC which is connected directly to the IP Office units.

Most systems are running a minimum version of 3.1 (65) and a couple are now running IP Office 3.2 (59). I have tried several different things. I would love to have my monitor setup and recording to a .LOG file so I can find out exactly the error I "technically" receive when the system craps out on VMail.

Thanks

Use the IP adress of the IPO and the password is password and not the Administrator password.

WOW! And to think, the most obvious answer was the right one. The funny thing is, our "supplier" had no idea how to help, and I remember having succeeded once a couple years ago, but never since.

Thank you SO much.

Your welcome....:)

??? Who doesn't know that...;)

If you have trouble with VM Pro then you better use DebugView wich can be found on the marketingtools website.

hehehe

I've only taken the basic course/assessment, and we only did because of the lousy support which is being offered by our supplier.

I've recently been made aware he (the president) hasn't even completed all the advanced courses, and somehow is a Avaya business partner.

I once asked if there was a difference between the "system password" and the "monitor password", he replied "no". I had asked him, mostly to test his basic skills. All I did was search the help files and I figured it out myself.

Not bad for a self-taught tech! I'm more It than phone guy, but avaya's GUI is extremely handy, and the help files help a lot as well.

Regards!

Another question then:

If I want to help troubleshoot a "voicemail" problem, and/or a problem with lines being locked up and VMLite log screen displaying "session timed-out", which options would either of you recommend I filter in SysMonitor?

As is, to test it out, I left all by default, and added/checked "Vmail" and "Vmail Tx" and "Vmail Rx" from the EConf tab.

Thanks for all the help.
