Hello,

What would be the best way to monitor the bandwidth and speed going through a Cisco 827 router. The router is supplied by an ISP and everything is locked down. I have about 6 servers going through 2 firewalls then into the 827. I started doing some very small server hosting and want to monitor the performance of my ADSL line before deciding to add a second one for better speed. I can always use the data collected from the PDM's of the firewalls (Cisco Pix 501s) but I would like to get it from the 827. If not possible, I do have an old Cisco Router 2600 series lying around with an old ISO that I can maybe insert between the two firewalls and the 827. From the 2600, I'll have full access... Suggestions please.

thank you
anthony

You can check if your IPS has management services. May be they have these graphics/data ready for customers access by web.
Another sugestion is to check if your ISP can give you SNMP read only access to the router, then you can use a MRTG like tool to generate the graphs.
