hey guys,

question. How can I and what software will monitor the activity if some other admin in the network will access from his cpu my cpu.

In other words:
Map drive to other client computername and share his C drive. what software can monitor on his cpu this activity?

thanks a lot

Your question is a bit confusing to me but see if something like this will help?

StatWin software is designed to collect, store and analyze the statistics of computer operation and user activities under Windows

well its like this.
I can map the computername >> \\computername\c$ << to get access to the local drive of the other cpu. I can prevent this if I turn off the share function of the harddrive but I have to do this each day since a newstart will run a few security scripts here on our network. I don't want to turn the share function off but i would like to monitor or view a kind of log file where i can see what computer (listed by cpu names) access the harddrive...

any freeware ???

Net stop server

; turns off Administrative shares

I don't really want to turn off the activity, i would like to monitor the activity.. any ideas?

One clarification: when you map a network drive you're not accessing the CPU, just the filesystem

Maybe the net session command is what you're looking for.

Cheers,
Dian

dont this work only on servers?
I need something that i can do on my computer to monitor all file activity of someone else computer (any user) towards my computer.
