Hi everyone.. I am just starting using MOM and I have a question regarding monitoring of backup processes. We have a situation where a group would like to be notified if one of there servers has more than 40 or less than 1 instances of a process running. I am sure that I need to create a WMI event for this, however I am not able to find a query to get this done. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

scott

Create a vb script that uses the Process WMI class. You can find processes by the name handle and then count them. Then your script can generate an event and/or alert which you then take action on.
