System MCD LX, running 6.0 SP3
Nupoint Standalone 16.2.0.5.01 (just replaced 3rd party voicemail)

At install customer decided to change from having attendant answered calls to "auto attendant"
Inbound calls are now directed to a call director mailbox where callers are blind transfered to answer points based on selection made.
The issue, regardless of the answerpoint a phone, console, etc callers although very briefly hear MOH, which is an external DMP source.

COS for trunks have MOH on transfer disabled and for Nupoint both MOH and MOH on transfer disabled.
Note the Nupoint is set to play "please wait while I transfer your call" prompt.

I have seen this before on a release of MAS 4.2. I believe that if you suppress prompt on the call director that goes away. The only downfall is I think that you might loose the Please wait while I transfer your call thing.

MOH on transfer means that the caller will hear MOH instead of ringback once the transfer is completed. This option would not affect MOH while the transfer is in the hold state one iota.

In your transfer strings on the Nupoint, blind transfer is usually set to X+H. Take out the + (1 second Pause)

Alternatively, put the Voicemail in an alternate tenant and set the hold source to none for that tenant.

AlphaManm, I did try that but no joy.
kwbMitel, Tried setting the removing the pause from the string, no change.
The site is a hotel with PMS integration. Not sure if putting the Nupoint in an alternate tenant will have any adverse affects on that feature. Will have to arrange for a maintenance window.

Just tried in a lab environment. Same issue
MCD rel 6.0 SP3 using an embedded MOH, Nupoint though this time running on vMAS.
No trunks. No MOH enabled for any COS's used in testing.
Just a phone calling a hunt group point to voicemail with a call director mailbox.
When the user selects the option and is blind transferred there is a "blip" of MOH before ringing.
Note that when being transferred a softkey on the top of the 5340 indicates "Music Off" when the MOH is played

Tried the tenanting suggestion kwbMitel (phones in tenant 1 and nupoint ports tenant 2) with the MOH for tenant 2 set for a different music source still heard the embedded MOH.

Testing without trunks is not really valid for the tenanting solution, trust me.
