Does any know if this is possible to setup a MOH without an external source? I read we can use Xpressions Compact but no idea how to do that, knowing I am new in the 3xxx world!
in the programming, system> music on hold, click on voicemail extension port of one channel and drag in to moh port slot.
you must make sure to remove this extension/SO port of the voicemail from the group.
you will have 4 message recordings for this port and they will run in a loop for moh, so recording in one will loop 1-1-1 or recording in 2 will loop 1-2-1-2- and so on..
Thanks for the information, I am totally new and first time I am working on the 3000. I know really well 4000, but here it's totally different.
I don't have system->moh
Only place I have a reference to MoH is in the Auxiliary Equipment->Ext. connection then a tab with External MoH with a list from 1 to 64 with NONE inside and titled Group Assignment call no...
Do you have any documentation (the admin doc from the 3000 is really not clear) , or any step by step possibilities?
- in station created extension 997 on a 4SLA 3-4 port
- in station view->activated feature selected External MoH in extension type
- Auxiliary Equipment->ext connection drag the 997 onto the external MOH table
- then in EVM mailbox 1 added 997
but I have not tested yet.. what do you think? or am I wrong?
In the doc they spoke about going to Auiliary equipment -> IVM but I don't have IVM and they also say that Mailboxes COS mus be 17 but same I can't find that

Sorry that is....
It only works with IVM ports. if you had one it would allow you to insert one channel to the Auxiliary list
you have set up the sla extension port 4 for moh, if you connect a music source to this port it will work as moh. you will need a audio transformer to take stop the voltage from the audio source
