Is there a command or way to check the physical port or board status the music source is connected to? Like if you busy out and released a station or trunk, I was wondering if you could do this for the analog board or port.

thanks

This is the only way i can think of Magillicuddy. This will at least let you see that is working and what port you connected to.

Below I called another set in my office and put that call on hold while doing a "li trace sta xxxxx"

Code:
                                LIST TRACE

time data

08:14:58 active station 57xxx cid 0x2ed
08:14:58 tone-receiver 02B0002 cid 0x2ed
08:14:59 dial 53000
08:14:59 ring station 53000 cid 0x2ed
08:15:04 active station 53000 cid 0x2ed
08:15:05 hold station 53000 cid 0x2ed
08:15:05 hear moh port 03A17003

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

You can call the MOH port directly.

Use the command disp sys fea to obtain your current MOH port - [tt] Music/Tone on Hold: music Type: port 01E1401[/tt]

Then find out what your feature access code is for Facility Test Calls - [tt]Facility Test Calls Access Code: *05[/tt]

Dial the MOH port directly, using the FAC and the port. For the carrier, 01=A, 02=B, 03=C, etc. In my case, my MOH speed dial is
[tt]*05 01 05 14 01[/tt]

If you have Vectoring enabled in your switch, you can create VDNs that point to a vector similar to below. In one of my switches I have 8 different music sources for different tenants. I have a test music VDN for each tenant pointing to the common vector. Works great.
