I have a system that is running 2.0 SP5 and the process OfflineMsgSync is using a lot of CPU resources, 80-90 at times and the MAS is a little sluggish. The only reference I see on it is in SP6 docs. What is this process and can I stop it in task manager. I have already rebooted the MAS and the process keeps running at the same rate. Do I need to go to SP6?

I have just had a rel 3.0 system start doing the same thing and i am trying to figure out why. It is almost like it can't access the offline store folder but i know it can.

I turned of sync to remote store this morning and the CPU usage dropped, I opened a ticket with Avaya and we'll see if they have any ideas.

Let me know as i have the same problem and that is what i did was turn it off and the CPU is now normal.

No, Avaya called me yesterday and said he dialed in and everything looked fine. I had to tell him that I turned off the sync so that the CPU would calm down but he is going to turn it on today or at some point this week and look at the logs.

I heard back from Avaya and he said he turned Off Line Msg Sync back on and observed for 2 hours and he saw no CPU problems, I was on vacation and I am travelling now so I haven't had a chance to dial in or to check with the customer, but I will tomorrow and update you. Sorry for the delay.

Offline message sync is turned on and the CPU usage is normal. The process isn't running all the time which I assume would be correct but I haven't done much homework on exactly how it works.

Hello Guys,
How can I setup the Off-Line access? and how this things work?

Thanks
Val
