Does anyone out there have a pdf of the programming guide for a mics 2.0 or 3.0 system. (Maybe even a 1.1 would help me).

You don't want a 1.1 it was just like a 8X24, 2.0 is when it changed. 2-7 are just about the same except for the ISDN-PRI set up starting with 4

go to wedophones.com and click on manuals

WORK SMART NOT HARD

Unfortunately wedophones.com did not list the manual for 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0. These versions are different from 4 through 7. (4 to 7 are very similar) I already have the manual for 4 and 6.
The main problem is that the programming structure/hierarchy is different and programming features are not under the same sections as they are in 4 to 7. I found many of the features i need to program, but it is difficult this way and would be much easier if I just had a manual with the correct hierachy.

if you can find an old T1/R1 manual, that will work.

WORK SMART NOT HARD

Without the exact manual this it is quite frustrating to program this older software. I'm thinking about simply purchasing a MICS 6.1 software cartridge off ebay. I am also trying to use a Starflash version 1.5 with the system. Can anyone tell me if i will run into problems trying to upgrade to the 6.1. I'm not even worried about keeping my settings in the upgrade, i will program fresh once installed. I just want to make sure there isn't something that incompatible that i wouldn't know about.

I am experiencing something strange, so I am probably going to run the startup programming again to wipe to factory defaults. However, until i make a decision about upgrading to 6.1, let me explain the problem to see if any of you have a solution. I have three incoming lines. The DNs are all the factory originals. If a call comes in, any of the sets that i want to be able to answer the call, can do just that. However, if 221 gets a call or is on the phone....and another call comes in on another line, the system seems to detect only that 221 is busy and then sends the call to her voicemail. It doesn't seem to matter which line 221 is on or which line is now ringing. It's almost like the system is set to allow other phones to ring but its basing its decision on what to do based on the status of extension 221. Hope this makes sense to someone!!
Thanks,
Dean

After some trial and error, i believe the problem i am experiencing may be in the Startalk Flash (on port 230). On extension 221, what should i have the "Forward to busy to : 230" and the "Forward no answer to:230" so in both cases the caller would go to the voicemail of 221. Obviously that is not correct. what should it be set to? (The startalk has two ports so i have the first one attached to 230 and the second one to 231.)

curlycord:

By setting the Forward on busy or Forward no answer to "none", then how do i get the startalk flash to activate that sets voicemail box?

By the way, I am not currently using the Auto Attendant features. I just want to use the voice mail features at present, so the startalk is not set to anwswer any lines.

As I said "Forward On Busy change to NONE"

Leave Forward No Answer alone so it will go to the mailbox if reception does not answer.

Forward On Busy should always be set to NONE when they have lines appear and ring so that other can answer.

Sorry to seem a bit dense here, but when you say leave "Forward on no answer" alone, do you mean that it too should be set to None or that I should leave it set to 230.

Dean

Success. The "Forward on Busy" is set to NONe and the Forward no Answer" is set to the voicemail extension (230) and now it works correctly.
Thank you all!
