When a user presses Ctrl+Alt+Delete and gets the Windows Security Window, in the middle of this window is the Logon information which shows logged on user and logged on time. Is there a way to modify this to add information? I would like to be able to add the Computer name and possibly the IP information. Anyone know how to do this?

Not sure how and if you can even modify this information, but everything your describing can be done with BgInfo from sysinternals. There is a whole mess of information you can configure to display on the desktop (User Name, Computer Name, IP, MAC, Boot Time, Logon Server, etc, etc, etc).

I thought of that but I don't want users background screens filled with information that they never really need to know. Only when we need to have them tell us what computer they are using then we can ask them to press ctrl+alt+del and read off the computer name or IP address.

It is possible to manipulate that information but it requires a certain degree of technical know how, you need to create a custom GINA.DLL then configure the registry to use the new GINA.DLL instead of the new one.

You should be able to find out more in depth details on the technet site at microsoft.

hope that points you in the right direction ...

Many Thanks
