Modifing the Text of teh AIX login prompt 1

I have on older unix systems edited the login prompt to put additional text or a text-made logo. I cannot remember how I did it, but in any case can you do this in AIX 4.3.3?

Are you speaking about the message which appears at login time once entered the correct username/password or about the shell prompt?

/etc/motd is what comes up after you have completed the login process (user name and password).
