on updating a whitehorse modem on win2000 I get the stop error after restart:
driver failed to load: systemroot\system32\drivers\winacpci

What to do to get rid of that ??
 
I think on W2K you might need to remove the old driver completely. Even you uninstall the old driver, the OS still
saves the old copy in the name oem0 or oem1. You can open those files in the INF folder. If you find one that contains the name of the old driver then delete that file, then reinstall the new driver.
