Mode function

Trying to use the "mode" function and get the error "Summary / running total field could not be created."
Here is the code:

mode({v_mike_snf_analysis.Days},{v_mike_snf_analysis.diag#})

It is for a group of diag#, days. I need the mode (days) for each group of diag#.

Might be a grouping issue...try a Running Total (if your CR version allows) to do this. They support Mode, and will demonstrate at which group levels you're allowing for.

I think you want MOD not MODE

Thanks I'll try that. I think it's a grouping issue. I was able to do a work around by calculating the mode for each group and storing it in a table and joining back in the report.

skuhlman: Mode is a type of average, as in Mean, Mode and Median.
