Mobile User looses Local Profile

I have a mobile user with XP pro on a Dell Latitude C400,We are a 2000 Server house Running AD,this problem just started once we switched over to 2000 Ad from a NT4 Environment,,He loggs off the network in the office ,,and once he gets home he cant get logged in to his notebook,with his username and password,can login using administrative user and password ,,then when you looked at User profiles ,,it doesnt show his account ,doesnt even show account unknown >>HELP<<<

Are we talking his domain user name password that he can't log on at home with (so its not caching his details)? And is the administrative logon a local or domain one?
