I have a small client with only 4 analog pots lines.
They would like to have the 2 sales people able to use mobile twinning.

Is there a work around to allow mobile twinning with analog lines or do you have to have a T1 to make mobile twinning work?

It would be a new IP office install.

Thanks

you can have forwarding to a mobile phone, assuming you turn on analog trunk-trunk connect.

But mobile twinning requires a PRI, and using any of the FNE features additionally requires DID number(s) on that PRI.

Or add a cheap sip line.

Don't do it!

4 lines & 2 mobile users is not a good mix regardless of line type

each forwarded call will use 2 lines (1 in 1 out) so if both salesmen receive a call no one else in the business can do anything until 1 of them finishes!

Mundus vult decipi decipiatur ergo.

Be aware that using analogue trunks with mobile twinning will stop the internal extension ringing at the same time as the mobile phone.

from manager help file - mobile twinning:

Analog Lines
These types of lines do not provide call progress signalling. Once a twinned call has been sent to an analog line, the system assumes that it has been answered and stops ringing the primary extension.

New or old instlal the system/lines are not setup to work in this way

Upgrade the lines or dismiss the idea

Install 1 x ISDN2 (BRI) line and use that just to send out the twined part of the call?
