I have mobile twinning setup and when I answer my mobile the extension is still ringing and the call will not connect to mobile. Call ended up going to VM.

Sounds like analog trunks to me.

Yes the call to my mobile device is being made from an analog trunk would that be the problem.

Do you have allow trunk to trunk connect selected on the analog lines?

Then the call should stop ringing the internal extn as soon as the call is made to the mobile(ringing), that's how it works with anaolg trunks, not sure what your problem is, does monitor show anything?

Just to point out that the analog trunk that is being fetched is from another PBX that is tie to the Avaya via T1

This is the same one that isn't giving call progress tones in the other thread you started, that is the issue!! It all stems from the crap Nortel sitting in the equation :)

ohh wow.. It is haunting me.

I have another issue I am in the process of migrating from the Nortel to the Avaya but trying to make the transition seamless, hence the back an forth with the Nortel.

However I am routing my inbound call through a T1 on the Avaya and the operator is complaining that she can't hear some of the calls.

I have 10 channels for coming in that are sent directly to the operator, the balance is used for DID.

I have 4 IP500 Voice Networking license installed. -- Do I need additional license

Would I need additional license for my T1 channel as I am using a 1 IP 400 T1 and 1 IP 400 Dual T1. My Avaya supplier told me that all channels come open on the IP400 cards is that correct.

Voice networking channels are only for outgoing calls, it will not limit incoming so it's probably the Nortel again, and yes the 400 cards do come full and unlicenced :)

I want to move my operator to the Avaya I want to give her a 4620 IP phone is it possible to have like 10 Line appearance setup.

As I am not quite ready in setting up the soft console.

If you want a seamless changeover put all handsets on desks have software loaded system mounted then just stay late one night and swap all the handsets over and the lines, it will save you all the missed calls and annoyed staff and customers/clients you are having now :)

Same as you would for 1 just ten times :), in Manager while you are in the relevant section press F1 or the "Help" button, that talks you through most things :)
