MMC Keeps Giving Error When Clicking on Services

Hi all,

Whenever I click on services within Computer Manager it keeps me an error stating there is a problem with MMC. I click on the continue option and all appears to work fine.

Is there a way to overcome this as it is a little aannoying!!!

What is the exact error?

It says:

MMC has detected an error in a snap-in. It is recommended that you shut down and restart MMC

And you have 3 options of what to do and I select continue

Is it MMC 3 by any chance?

Yes it is! Any ideas how to resolve it?

there are a few quirks with MMC3 and it does depend on which programs are trying to access the console and how.
Not that I'm a programmer, but I understand that the instructions that 'call' mmc2 don't work with the MMC3 correctly - if at all.
I have had this error with a couple of 3rd party programs andhave had to wait for them to create a fix...........
