Hi all-obviously we have done tons of these and all of the sudden we are getting this strange failure.
We recently upgraded to CM 3.1.2 with the latest patch applied aand had a few transfer issues that an Avaya engineer told us would be resolved by applying the latest firmware upgrades.
All pings go through with no problems and we enabled the tftp server for both directions.
We loaded the files to the S8510 and verified that they are in the /tftpboot directory and also have tried using 2 different PC's running 3rd party TFTP servers and we get the same errors every time- On the G430 when put "copy tftp module \tftp\mm711h20v73 X.X.X.X 2" we get "file not found",
Any suggestion?

I try with .fdl and nothings happens.

try to download the firmware again, may of been a few files missing or a bad download.

You can also "copy ftp" and "copy scp". Sometimes I just put it in /var/home/yourusername of a server and copy scp module file.fdl A.B.C.D 2 and it'll prompt for yourusername and password and so long as its in the home folder of that account, it goes OK.

I also like to avoid pulling over the WAN as I find the gateways a little finnicky about it. Especially for 16 megs of gateway firmware that the gateway seems to like to pull very slowly.

Sorry but I try in both forms and happens de same things, does any body happens this before?

Don't use TFTP over the WAN if you can avoid it! Always use FTP or SCP (TFTP is UDP based obvious FTP and SCP are TCP based and work much better over WAN connections)

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

What FW is on your g430?
Should be 25.43.0 - 07/11/2008

try this command from the media-gateway - 127.1.1.31 is always the internal address for
an 8300 in 01v1 - or use customer IP address for 8300 with /tftpboot

g430, g450, g350: (mm711 slot v2)
copy tftp module mm711h20v73.fdl 127.1.1.31 2
show download software status 2

for g700: (mm711 slot v2)
copy tftp mm-image v2 mm711h20v73.fdl 127.1.1.31
