Hello,
I have updated the PKI file for our Communication Manager but am having trouble finding out if I need to for MM. How can I tell what the expiration date is for the MM cert?

Thanks for you help.
Alan

Should have put the version in, sorry. We have 3.1 that we just upgraded to in June of 2008. I think we are ok, but I would like to go to my boss with the actual date of expiration. Thanks again.

Modular Messaging

Modular Messaging Releases 1.x and 2.x do not support SIP integration, therefore no action is necessary.

No action is necessary for software obtained after August 29, 2007. Customers who purchased or implemented Modular Messaging with SIP integration to Communication Manager prior to August 29, 2007, will need to obtain a new PKI security certificate using one of the options described below. If a customer is unsure of the purchase or implementation date they should contact their Avaya Associate or Authorized BusinessPartner.

Systems that do not interface with Communication Manager via SIP integration are not impacted by PKI certificates and no action is necessary.
Any licensing activity, such as upgrading to a newer release of Modular Messaging, adding or moving licenses, delivers a new license file with an updated PKI certificate. If any such activity is planned before March 11, 2009 or was performed after August 29, 2007, no further action is necessary.

Thanks avayauser. I realize that I probably do not need to update the license, but there must be some way to tell what license I have or when it expires like you can with Communication Manager.

FYI - This is how you can find and check the certificate.
Please check the following path on MAS to view the Certificate file.

C:\Program Files\Avaya Modular Messaging\OpenSSL\AVA\certchain.crt file

Open the cert and Check the expiration date.

Thanks for everyones assistance.
