MLM original serial # help!

Yes, you can access the original serial# by accessing the MLM 007 through the RS232 port. If you check previous posts, you will find the process described.

Use search to check out the reply to one of my postings "Merlin Mail 3.0 Reset Help". One of the replies walks thru the process pretty clearly. Once you get in thru the RS232 port and use the password indicated, you will see the screen that will identify your existing serial# - you do not have to reset the module unless you want to. Using the serial# - you can reset the unit by using the serial# as your password when you log into the admin mail box.
I just don't remember whether you need the "null modem" for ther legend MLM module. I believe you need it for Merlin Mail, Release 3.0 and not for the MLM - but try to connect both ways. The Hyperterminal settings are the same for both systems.
