Hello...

Hope all your holidays have been good so far. I am now able to create mailboxes and set them up. I can call and get all the prompts direct, but when I dial the extension it will ring on the extension 4 times, ring 2 times on voice mail then it will ring/beep a busy signal. But when I call 770 I can get in....

What am I missing?

Thanks guys....

Josh

Oh yeah... It is a single extension, not a group voicemail.

(I also set up the voicemail extension as the same #11 which is the phone extension... is this right too?)

Thanks,
Josh

FOR ALL WHO WILL RESPOND:

Remember, this is a LEGEND RELEASE 3, with a 4 Port MLM-007.

Josh, Did you ever get SPM?

(So you can print stuff out for us to check.)

Do you have these extensions in the COVER GROUP for VOICE MAIL?

Do you have MailBoxes for all of these extensions?

Have you told voice mail the correct number of digits for the extensions?

There is a lot to do to get these things to work, but you are asking us to guess at way too much to provide you any useful info.

Perhaps you would want to pay someone to dial in and figure out what you need.

It's just a thought.

Please check that the hunt group type is "Integrated VMI". Without that setting, the digits sent to the voicemail ports will look funky and possibly confuse it.

This procedure (changing the hunt group to IntgVMI) will automatically remove all members, so you'll have to add those four extensions back into the group afterward.

I think my suggestion respects the Legend and VM release that merlinman asks us to keep in mind. I also agree that posting your config will allow us to help you more readily.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will check them all out right now. I have read through all the manuals, but It is a differant system for me.

As for spending money for programing, I am all for it but I called Avaya to have them program it but after they setup the billing they never called me for an appointment. It has been 2 months of non-stop calling and they just can't seem to get someone to setup an appointment. The local phone guy told me it cost the last guy $3500.00 to program a MLM007 so I took that as he didnt want to do it.

That leaves me to try. I really like learning it, but I am learning phones from scratch so tek-tips has been great. I will definately make a donation to the cause.

Thanks again... Have a great New Year!

Josh

Wow... That worked. Cover Group was it... Voicemail works. Now for the auto attendant. Thanks again guys!

Best Regards,
Josh

GREAT !

$3500, That's insane.

I know most folks probably could get it done for a 10th of that.

Good luck with the AA.
