MLM 007, New slot, No Access to VM

Have Merlin Legend, Merlin Mail R3, no troubles with phones or lines. This was a working system put in storage for a year, brought back out, but on power up access to VM was not there. Did a restore with backup, system recognized extensions and names, but dialing 770 (VM ext) the system rings (with a short clip at the end of the ring) but no entry into VM. MLM 007 card has green light status from top to bottom (VM1-VM4, Status). Any help, direction or guidance would be appreciated.

OK, not exactly sure how, but after trying some of the ideas on the posts, I was able to get into the mail system. BUT, now I can't figure out how to change the general greeting on the system. Not the system greeting, but the personal greeting someone gets when no one picks up the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you access the messages with your password if not you may want to do a default password or delete and recreate the mailbox

It sounds like you are trying to change the GENERAL MAIL BOX GREETING.

For Auto Attendant 1, that would be mail box 9991.
