Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has any documentation for replacing the 40/80 DLT internal tape drive on a ML530 G1 server?

Any tips or links to a doc would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Have you looked on HP's site? They usually have all the docs.

The process should be quite a simple one, as long as you ensure that the cables are connected up the same and the SCSI ID of the new drive matches that of the old drive. You may have to refer to the documentation of the tape drive to figure out how to change the SCSI ID

Sorry for delayed response - it was very easy in my case the tape drive worked straight out of the box without and jumper changes needed.

Thanks very much for your responses
