All, the fixed voice mail key on my IP phones is not working. When I push it, the display reads: CALL ME BACK? at the top. Toward the middle it says READ MESSAGE. If I click on READ MESSAGE, the next option that appears on the screen is to Call. I push that key and it calls the voice mail hunt group. What do I need to do get the voice mail key to call voice mail when pushed?

Thanks

But there's a message in the voice mailbox. The MWI lamp is flashing. Gonna confirm that VM box matches the extension. Actually, I'm certain they match because when I call that extension, I'm able to leave a message. When I dial the VM pilot number from that extension, it recognizes that I'm calling from that extension.

Go Off-hook first then press the flashing voicemail key.

@benny89 you get a star.... had no clue that when off hook the vm pilot is dialed direct by the envelop key. Simple but smart.

benny89, going off hook and then pushing the VM key also did not work. The solution was to program the VM hunt group pilot number in the call coverage services form. Now, when I push the VM key on the IP phone, it reaches VM.

Call Coverage?

Call Coverage will make a difference on a 3300 when there is no message. It will not make any difference when the lamp is active.

When the lamp is active, for it to work as a one touch button you must first be off hook.

Yet another reason why we should state what type of system we are working on.

Huh? I stated what type of system it was in the subject line:MiVoice
Mitel rebranded the 3300 to MiVoice a year or so ago.

Not the case kwbMitel. Whether or not the MWI lamp is active or inactive, when I push the VM key, it calls VM without having to be off hook.

Correction, Mitel rebranded 3300's to MiVoice Business

MiVoice Office 250 or Mivoice Office 5000 was the Mitel 5000
MiVoice Business was the MCD/3300
MiVoice MX-One - Was Aastra

So, as I surmise that you figured out, MiVoice is insufficient by itself.
