I am using Mitel Embedded Voicemail and have programmed a menu node voicemail. I would like to have callers press 0 and route them to an ACD queue on the system. What is the best way to do this? Do I need to make the menu option a transfer only box and then route to the ACD queue? I know that all menu node options must be a mailbox correct? Thanks

Setup a Mailbox with Ext XXXX

Setup Speedcall XXXX to Dial ACD Queue Pilot

Assign Mailbox to Menu Node Digit.

Thank you. Does it matter what type of mailbox? I keep getting the standard vm prompt "the person you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time".

Is the queue Available?

Transfer only or Extension type will do the trick. Doesn't matter which.

Yes. I have one agent logged on. When I dial the new spdcall I setup it routes to the queue and the agent answers. If I dial into the menu node and press the menu node option it plays the vm system greeting.

More information. I had to record the greeting on the mailbox and instruct callers to press 0 which I defined as the new MB/SPD CALL. That worked. However, it is a bit cumbersome for callers.

Here it is in a nut shell.
1700 VM Menu Node>PRESS 0 FOR ACD AGENT(0 = THE NEW MB AND SPD CALL # WHICH ROUTES TO ACD QUEUE XXXX)WHEN PRESSED CALLER GETS SECOND GREETING TO PRESS 0 AGAIN TO REACH THE AGENT.

Is there any way to bypass that 2 nd greeting and automatically route the caller without having them press another key? Thanks!

You've done something differently than I am describing.

I recently setup this exact scenario.

Press the digit from the Menu node and the call immediately transfers (no prompt) and queues for the agents.

Substitute correct numbers below where necessary.

Menu Node = 1700
Extension Mailbox = MB 1800 with ext assigned as 1800
Speed Dial 1800 dials 1900
1900 = ACD queue

Call enters Menu Node 1700
Digit 1 defined to MB 1800
Caller presses 1
Call transfers to queue - no prompts.

Thank you! I'm not really sure what I missed but I deleted and rebuilt it and its working. Thanks so much and have a great weekend;)
