Hi

I know the software installer tool is not supported on server 2008 but has anyone tried an upgrade from it? Can it work? I need to upgrade an MXE to MCD6SP1 from MCD5.

Why would it not be supported on Server 2008

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I have upgraded a 3300 using SI on Server 2008 (Standard 32 bit).

SI runs on 64bit Win7 so I would think most Server Versions are covered.

Think you may be thinking of the DHCP 125 option programme.

While installing the latest Mitel software installer on server 2008 R2 it warns you that it is not compatible. You can then continue with the install and it completes. I was just checking if for some reason it will cause problems with an upgrade after these warnings.

Software installer only works on 32 bit O/S. My HP laptop won't run in virtual mode so I carry a Dell 32 bit machine running XP. Works every time.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

The upgrade completed successfully with no hassles this weekend. So windows server 2008 64bit does work even though it gives you a compatibility warning.
