Hi All,

I would like to know how to configure Cisco 7941 phone to work with Mitel mxe3300. Also how to make it work with Mitel MBG " Teleworker mode " if possible

Best regards

I tried the teleworker bit could not get that working. I did get it working on a 3300.
You need to provide some files (and you need to edit them) by tftp. Also you will need some firmware with it.
Do you need it? I can provide it for you.
But to be very honest you better just get some Mitel phones.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi tlpeter,

Thank you very much for your help. Yes I need these files and your help will be highly appreciated.
I do not know if i can ask you this : can I get step by step walk through ?

Regards

I assume the 7941 can operate as a SIP device?

You can't duct tape stupid.

I don't have it anymore.
But from the top of my head, you need two files and both should have the mac address in the name of it.
These files should be in the same folder as the normal phone files on the controller.
You should also be sure that the phones get the tftp server address by dhcp.
I believe that mitel also has a document about this somewhere.

I gave youa star for that.
It is indeed an absolute pain.
Better is replacing the phones for sure.

Thanks for the star.

As tlpeter says if you can, convince them to get Mitel IP Phones.
It will save you a lot of headaches, especially with the users.
When in SIP mode they have zero features.

Dear ALL,

Thank you very much and I will take your advice of using Mitel IP Phones.

Regards
