I have a client that had shut down their property due to Covid, and now a couple of years later another person re-opening the establishment.

Unfortunately, it appears the previous owner unplugged the Mitel, possibly for 2 years.

The system will power up, I an log into it, but I can't get any Dial Tone out of the Analog Station Ports.

I have been advised the issue is with the MOSS...does this sound possible?

Thanks in advance.

Not likely a MOSS issue. Is this system equipped with an ASU II or is it using a peripheral node. ASU II needs a cross-over cable from the RJ45 on the ASU II to the first RJ 45 on the controller's CIM module. Most likely this cable is missing or unplugged.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

If it is an EL/ML then it likely lost the database and shows an E.8 on the controller. In which case either will need the MOSS or a backup to get back in license.

You CAN log into it. But see if there is a database intact. Need exact model sx-200.

Thanks for the replies and I apologize for the delay.

Yes, we can log into it.

There does not seem to be any database

it is the SX-200...cabinet that looks like a microwave.

The initial Vendor (Bell) can't seem to find any record of this system.

Which is troubling considering I originally sold this system to this property when I worked at Bell 20 years ago.

Unless you have a back-up, you'll have to start from scratch. The backup would have been saved as a Kermit file. I haven't been successful restoring a Kermit file using Windows 10 and keep an XP machine handy for this. Good luck.

You are going to need the moss sheet and a backup. Without a backup the moss sheet is a must.
