I have a client who is a hotel and has a 2 cabinet Mitel SRX200 system. There is a digital card for the console, and some office phones, and a bunch of analog cards for the rooms (98 room hotel). We have had to replace cards here and there for various issues, and even a controller module failed recently. Luckily I had another multi-console system removed from another clients, and we were able to use that controller to get everything up and running...
Anyway - they had some customers complain about dialing out (who uses a motel phone?) recently, and when poking around, there is indeed an issue. For some extensions (on one card it appears), you can only dial 3 digits and then get fast busy. Other extensions can dial just fine.
With my limited knowledge, I connected and after reading a few forums here, went through all of the COS/routing/restriction options and cannot for the life of me find ANY restrictions. The staff says that at one time, they were limited to local calls only on the rooms, but that hasn't been the case in years. I cannot see anywhere, that there are any restrictions applied to anything, and an extension right next to one that isn't working, will dial any number just fine. I verified that it is the system blocking dialing and NOT the provider, but man, I cannot find it.
Any thoughts or ideas would be great! They are looking at replacing the system, but at $25k to start, they aren't really excited about that. People use the phone less and less, so even having someone use the phone, and then having an issue, is strange.
Thank you all in advance!!!
