Hello!

We have the mitel sx200 system. Two days ago it stopped receiving external calls. It also cannot dial out. Internal calls are fine.

The front desk console did display "major alarm"

We did a power cycle and bay 1 does not have power. We plugged in a different power supply and it also did not power on.

Main control was displaying 2 3, after the power cycle it displayed E 2

Did you make sure the power cord was plugged into the back of the bay power supply properly? There's a little access cover, undo it, and plug it in.

Hello,

Yes, I have determined that it is not a power supply issue as I have spent my day swapping bays and power cords. When I take bay 1 and plug it into bay 2, it gets power..if I use the original bay 1 power supply in bay 2, bay 2 works. I'm sorry if I'm not explaining it very well.

I have seen line cards kill a bay. Pull all the cards from slots 1-8 and power it back on. If the Bay Control comes up, then it's likely one of the line cards. Put them in, one at a time. and see which one kills the bay.

Where are you located?

The manual says that E2 is a bad boot ROM. I've never seen this be the actual cause. Unplug everything except the main control card and Bay 2 power supply. If you still get an E2, then something on the 8-bit bus on the Main Control is fried, most likely the printer port. You'll need a new Main Control. If it gets to trying to read the floppy, it's a bad peripheral card in Bay 1.

Dead Battery backup or bad wall outlet
Power cord on psu is hard to seat after removal

Shut it off check all cords.. and cables reseat cards and reboot... its old. fidget with it... it will boot...

That e2 can be fixed. What lightware version is it? Check with istreamcom.com for parts and software.
