Is it possible to have on our Supersets (4025 and 4150) a key that shows if an extension is in use (blinking, etc.) but also have it act as a speed dial button? I can do one or the other, but I have no idea how to do both. Would it be a setting in Option 9 on the console?

When you set up the DSS/BLF key there is an option to set it for "Call"

I don't see that option. I only see In, Out, or Both Ways.

Let me clarify. I go to Option 09 > Ext # > Expand Set > Button # > Key Line > I can choose In, Out or Both Ways for Dir, Type is Key, Ring is No, Ext is the extension number that I want to monitor/call. There isn't an option for Call.

Oops! I set it to Key and did not even see the option for DSS/BLF. It works great now! THANKS!

What you have is a keyline appearance.

With a Keyline appearance you can:
- See if the line is in use
- answer the line
- set ringing on the line
- Place the line on hold and pickup on either set

Cons:
- When line is in use, it is busy on all sets.

Your question was regarding seeing the phone in use and using the key to call. This would be a DSS/BLF Key

With a DSS/BLF Key
- See if the line is in use
- Answer the line (requires system option 35)
- Answer a ringing line (key only flashes) requires COS option 218
- Pickup a call on hold (key flashes quickly) requires COS option 211
- Call the station by pressing the key (if option set to call is enabled)
- Transfer a call

CONS
- Does not ring

Perfect! That is what I want. I found it under the **MORE** key after I knew what to look for, provided by you. THANKS so much!

Never noticed that before! :) It's done. Thanks again!
