The HDD on SX-200 ICP died, I manage to pull some data out of it, the /db partition and I`m in the clear since this system was installed quite a few years back and I don`t have the MOSS file. I manage to get a replacement HDD with a newer software SX-200_ICP_5.0.2.12. Running a restore via Kermit of FTP is failing and kinda makes sense because the backup is for a 3.X.X.X software. I spends days searching for a clone or backup of the verison SX-200_ICP_3.0.2.5 without any luck.

Just a full copy of the hdd partitions (/sysro,/db & /vmail) will be sufficient if someone has this and willing to help.

If memory serves me, you will need an original CD for 3.0.2.5. The restore can't take place until the OS is installed and have a MOSS record. You most likely will need a Mitel dealer to assist by either getting you the MOSS record or having them transfer the account to them via Mitel. New licensing is not for sale on this product. Does anyone have additional info?

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

Title: MOSS Switch Off - Legacy Licensing Application Being Decommissioned

Summary:
Mitel is announcing an end of life timeline for the MOSS licensing servers in North America and the UK which supported legacy Mitel products (which have all passed their end of support date).

Effective Date: January 1, 2017

Manufacturer Discontinue / Supercession

Mitel is announcing that MOSS - the licensing application for a number of legacy Mitel platforms such as the SX-200 & SX-2000 will no longer be able to be accessed from January 30th 2017. The platforms that were licensed through this tool have all been under notice of end of life for some time with the SX-2000 LIGHT being the most recent communication. First announced in October 2008, the SX-2000 LIGHT moved out of support in October 2015 and, whilst we have continued to provide some extended support on the licensing application, this will cease from January 30th 2017.

Whilst these platforms are unsupported it is possible that customers continue to have them running. Whilst Mitel will retain a database of entitlement for the purposes of validating entitlement for any future programs and promotions, Partners should note that in the event of any issue with licensing, the ability to rebuild with Mitel support will no longer exist beyond the dates highlighted above. Mitel would encourage partners to ensure that all customers have a migration offer and to ensure customers understand the status of these platforms.

This notice does not affect any product licensed through the Mitel AMC.

... So no point of getting a vendor as "vendor of record" in order to get the MOSS

MOSS records are still available for download however no new licensing can be purchased.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

I do have a bench 200icpMX and AX which are licensed. I could see if this restores on the correct system and could I assume see form 4 this should show the options enabled and the Mitel Options Password. Identity would be wrong though but all else should be good.
