mitel super1000

I have a person which has a mitel 1000 I am usually installing and repairing pbx sytem such as avaya, nortel. I am not use to the mitel. He says that the people in the rooms can't call to the front. He has mitel super1000 console. Would this be a big problem. Maybe just needs new console--If it need a new port would i be able to replace them with out some kind of password that I can't find? Thanks in advance

There are way too many variables to list. I guess I would start at the beginning with can the console receive/make external calls? Can it pull up any of the console features?

What is system is this connected to?

Is the console in service, can you make outbound calls from it?

Is the system in the correct service (day, night1, night2) and the console set to operator present? It will show this on the console display

The lines ring in at the dmark. The console is not set up to dial out on lines just ring in. The rooms can call out or in. The console has major alarm on it. So It sounds like console right?

Is this connected to an SX2000?

Can the console call the bedroom extensions?

Is operator present displayed on the screen?

The Major alarm can be flagged for a number of reasons some of which may not be affecting service, can you access system programming?

sx200 they can call the rooms just no incoming trunk calls.

Im my opinion it sounds like the console is in DND/operator absent but I do not know the SX-200 so cannot confirm this

How are the rooms trying to dial the console (what digits are being dialled)
- I will assume dialling Zero

What tenant are the rooms in (check via form 9)
- I will assume Tenant 1

What Digits are programmed for Dial zero for Tenant 1 in Form 19.
- No assumptions here - need to know

What Digits are programmed against the keys on the console in form 8
Note: Not all keys need to be programmed
- Key 2 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 3 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 4 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 5 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 6 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 7 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 8 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 9 = ????? Label = ????
- Key 0 = ????? Label = ????

interconnectlady, from all the posts I would say it is not the console rather its the programming of the system which is the problem.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
