Hi all,

I have a simple question here, i am trying to install a teleworker IP Phone.
so i installed the MSL 9.4 on my server and it is working properly.
how can i get my IP phone to work as a teleworker.
do i need to install MBG too.?

Yup, you need to installthe MBG blade onto the MSL. This is done by synching to the mitel servers and having a licence available on the AMC and then it will install for you. You then set it up to talk to your MCD and register the phone to the MCD via the MBG.

Thank you for your responce, do I have to have an mbg liscence?
I installed mbg via install app blades from cd option,
But when I opened mbg it says teleworker liscence =0

you will need to purchase an MBG base pack and teleworker license from your local Mitel dealer

hi bobcheese,

thanks for your responce,
one other question if u can help me with that.
i want to remotely access the server manager via SSH.
i set it to "allow public access"
how should i be able to access the server via internet?
i ve a static ip address assigned to the server.
Thanks

You can also subscribe to an external ( i.e internet ) DNS service and register the domain name if your company does have a company they work with.

Also another method to run a remote phone is if you have a corporate VPN to use. Have seen users with home phones that they run on the VPN connection they use for their laptop.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Under Service link - status i get the following error :

The following error occurred during the last sync:
An error occurred while receiving ServiceLink configuration information from the Applications Management Centre. If this error persists, contact your solution provider for assistance [Permission denied: synchronization token rejected]
Warning: The last 5 registration attempts have failed.

Thats because you don't have a MBG licence for the one you have installed. Without the licence on the AMC you won't get anywhere with the MBG.

I clicked on sync at status under application and that error disappeared.
I ve 5 mbg client licsence but still when I make sync I don't find them under mitel border gateway.at the amc they are assigned.

I would try and install them as a blade using the MSL rather than a CD install...I can't remember what but I recall some issue with doing it as an install off the CD, not insurmountable but makes it slightly more difficult.....but then its so vauge I could be way out.....Is there any licence information on the application page of the MBG (near the bottom) and does it show as a blade installed under blades?

Hi wireman50,

Under blades, teleworker license =0
Under blades I get the MBG installed.

You see when I go to blades I only get the mitel standard linux.
Update list would do the trick.
I have to start installing from cd to get the MBG on the list.
Then I click on install and the process goes on.

Now I am having another problem,
I cannot access the server localy or through ssh,
I enter the ipadd/server-manager,I get to the login screen.
But when I enter login credentials it says :

Internal server error:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and wa unable to complete your request.

Do ytou have MBG under Applications? Have you tried a web login using windows?

For the latest MBG I found this: Note:The Mitel Border Gateway blade is available from AMC only. It requires 9.0 or the 9.1 MSL load listed below.
