I think bobcheese knows that, he is wondering what particular version of MCD 5

just installed mitel CXii on MCD 5 and now cannot get SMDR logs. please see the error below and assist;

When you say you just installed it, was SMDR working previously?
Might help us determine whether it is an initial setup problem or something else that has changed in your environment.

@sarond no it was not working it is a new installation

this morning it gave me this error see below and assist;

How are you trying to get SMDR?, From a Logs read or from TCP etc, What are your results. What instructions have you followed for setting it up?

again what version of MCD 5??? is this the first time you have configured SMDR?

AS boycey9 says. How are you collecting the SMDR records? Telnet, out the RS232 port on the front? Please specify more details in your query.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

What happens when you telnet to the IP address of the controller on port 1752.

@tyrojl can you confirm if SMDR previously worked before upgrade or is this a new installation?

Ok, can you confirm what programming steps you have completed already to configure the SMDR

@bobcheese This is my programming,this programming is working somewhere i just copied it

Make sure that SMDR is also enabled in your Class of Service.

Does anything output if you type the following in maintenance commands.
[tt]LOGSYS READ SMDR NEWEST 20[/tt]
