Hi

i have installed a new Mitel 6930 IP phone as a switchboard phone

i need to setup a queue for concurrent incoming calls. the current 5550 IP console can handle up to 6 concurrent calls.

where can i configure all incoming calls to go to a queue on line 1 on the 6930 ip phone?

using the Mitel 3300 CX-II controller with MiVoice business 8.3

any help would be appreciated!

On mobile so forgive formatting and grammar, sp etc.

first, the 5550 console can queue far more than 6 calls. I need to understand what you mean by this.

The 5550 can support up to 6 unique LDN keys to support alternate call paths to the console. e.g. separate keys for dail 0, main, toll free, ringdown, etc

Each key can queue as many calls as the system can support.

What do YOU mean by 6 calls can be queued?

Sorry for being vague no the 5550 IP console. they currently only have 6 incoming lines on the console. I understand that it can support more, but they only use 6 at the moment.

what i want to know is specifically on the 6930 IP Phone which they want to use as a reception phone. I connected the 6930 IP phone and set the 5550 (ext. 2010) to night mode, which then forwards all calls to the 6930 with extension number 2011. the first caller dials their incoming number and hears the Welcome IVR. The customer then enters a queue i assume which is forwarded to the 6930 IP phone.

thats all good, as the phone rings and the receptionist can answer and transfer the call, but if there are more than two in the queue, all the callers stay in the queue indefinitely and never comes through to the 6930 IP phone. they have to hang up and call again (all they hear is the welcome IVR in loops). basically only the first caller rings and gets answered. the other calls dont seem to come through.

i read something about float keys, but not sure if this would work.

we would like to get the 6 incoming lines setup on the other phone, if possible

Ok,

I need to ignore what you have in favour of what I know can work.

The Night termination should be to a Ring group
The Ring Group will have the 6930 Prime line in it.
To ensure call history on the 6930 you should only have 1 appearance of the 6930 Prime
The ring group should be set up to play a RAD "all attendants Busy" via Call Coverage
The 6930 should have 2 or 3 group park keys separately addressed to be used as hold keys

Let me know how much of that you know how to do.
