Hi

Im wondering if you can help me with a small problem.
Ive just instaled a resilliant clust with 2x 3300 icps.
this all works fine but i have a prob with making all the users resilliant, short of changing them all manualy (500+users)i can remember how you change them all using templates. This would speed up my programming no end..........any ideas?

You have 500+ IP users therefore implying that you have 2 of the LX/700 unit controllers and 500+ set/user licenses on each box, correct?

I'm only marginally familiar w/OPSman, but I don't think you have any other option than to do the resiliency thing one set at a time. A chore, yes, but once done, it's done.

Any TDM trunks? If so I trust you're aware that resiliency does not apply to TDM devices or TDM trunks. That's actually one of the biggest disadvantages of resiliency. It completely overlooks the outside world of legacy devices.

The templates that are being discussed here will only marginally speed up the process as it would save you a few seconds on each user. (the bit of time where you tick the resiliency box and select the other switch).
But if you want to try you need to go into the moves adds and changes application then select the Templates -> Change Templates menu and edit the default template or create some new ones and use those instead.

As far as TDM trunks resiliency is concerned thats future stuff but it is being planned for.
