Hi all,

I am a new comer I tried to search the threads but I can't find anything similar. So can anyone lend me a hand?

Currently I installing 3300 for a Business Centre. They need their console operator to answer external calls for their clients. For example 1234 is one of the main line of their clients and they need to look up the staffs' extension under this 1234 main line. In the call rerouting always form, I routed 1234 to the Business Centre's Main line 5678 ( terminted at the Console ). So when external parties call 1234, the console operator can pick up the line at Console with Multiple company diectory and phone book look up functions enabled.

Here comes the problem, for normals calls with Called Display ID sent, the phone book lookup function works fine, but if the incoming calls's CLID is hidden. The phonebook lookup function does not work and also the advisory message won't neither. I just do not understand that the reason behind, it was supposed that the incoming number to match the 1234 client's mainland which I input in the MLF csv file. What should I do so that phonebook lookup will function even the incoming calls' CLID is hidden? Hope I am not confusing anyone.

What is 1234?

There may be no i in team but there are three f's in fudge off.

sorry if I didn't explain clearly, Let me put it this way, this Business Centre has one main line 5678 which has been terminated in Console, they have one client which has an extension 1234, so when someone from outside call 1234, it will be transferred to 5678 and the console operator can answer the call for the client.

So what you are saying is when a call comes in with no CLID and is answered at the console the operator doesn't know where ( or what extension ) that call came from?

thanks loopylou, yes that's what I meant. With CLID, when operator answered the phone, he could see the rerouted extension and the other extensions under the same company. However it is not working if no CLID is given....

You can use a Name Tag hunt group to show a name when a call reroutes from a hunt group. Not sure if routing the client to a name tag hunt group that is always rerouted to the console would work.
