It is Mitel's SBC so to speak.
In saying so one must understand that the MBG's core function is to be used as per Mitel's Engineering Guidelines.
The MBG should not be used as a substitute for a firewall. It's capabilities and capacity is limited to Mitel related functions only.
I want to use SIP Trunking to connect the Mitel Controller to the PSTN for Voice and Data.
The PSTN already has a Huawei SBC
I want to use Fibre Optic cable as the medium to connect the Mitel Controller to the PSTN for Voice (Local Calls) and Data (Internet).
In this scenario, Do I need both the Mitel MBG and the PSTN SBC for connectivity ??
Can someone help with a schematic diagram depicting the correct scenario
FYI PSTN is an acronym {Public Switched Telephone Network}
dows the carrier have a website - if so whats the url for that.
the reason for asking is that some carriers dont support trunks that arent connected via a single address
Mitel have config guides for many carriers but without the correct name we cant check if there is one.
If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
