Hi guys,

We have a Mitell 3300 system with 5224 devices.

We have created a hunt group with 3 phones inside it. they all have voicemail enabled and setup as does the hunt group.

When the group is called it does it s job of if 1 person is busy it goes to the next, however, when all users are busy the caller just gets a busy tone and not the hunt group voicemail.

can anyone please help.

software version is 9.0.3.15

Did you enable Call Forward on Busy to VoiceMail for the Huntgroupnumber itself?

Im struggling to find the call forwarding or Busy to voicemail for the Hunt group.

Is it in system Administration?

Goto System Administration Tool
Select option System Administration
Select Call Handling
Select Call Routing
Select Call Routing First Alterative and make an entry that has the destination for the Voicemail group
Select Call Rerouting Assignment and give the Huntgroup the entry number of the Voicemail entry that you created,
PS DO NOT USE ENTRY 1 !!

Thankyou very much this has saved us a lot of hassle

Cheers

chris

You are going to have confusion with the message waiting lamps.

The first member of the hunt group will have their lamp lit for either the hunt group or their personal email. The other users will have no idea which is active and will have to check to find out.

The best way to avoid this issue is to terminate the call to a DN (typically a keyline) that is immediately routed to the hunt group. When the hunt group routes to VM the VM will answer with the original DN's (Keyline) mailbox. A MWI key can then be associated with the mailbox as a key on every phone that maintains the mailbox.

A second solution is to activate the VM to email function from the huntgroup mailbox and use forward to email and delete.

Thanks for that, i have been raking my brains with the VM lamp only working on one device and then found out it was whoever was first.

We have set up the VM to email function which has pretty much taken care of this issue but i may look into the first solution as the lamp on my phone is always on :S
