Mitel Hunt Group error

I have a Mitel MXe III 3300 on release 4.2.
I am trying to create a hunt group and want to use an external cell configured as system speed call in the group.

The hunt group accepts the speed dial assignment without issue but when you try to call with just the speed dial assignment in the group the system gives a busy signal and drops call. If you leave the other extensions in the group it just doesn't move to the system speed dial.

Have you tried with and without a 9 in the dial string of the speedcall?

I have tried with a 9 and verified the system speed call works. Is there a reason in the hunt group this would change?

Had a problem some time back where a system would only let speedcall work for external divert if I took the 9 out of the dial string....never bottomed why....

Ah, system speed calls are only allowed in network hunt groups but can only reference station numbers. So its not going to work. You could do it with a circular ring group using the system speed call as the overflow point.Alternatively you could program the reroute for the group as the speedcall for the cell number which would do a similar job as the overflow for the ring group.

What about using a EHDU as a member?

So I have been able to get the system to use the system speed call format my using the rerouting format for all calling but I've only found a way to leave that as my final location in the hunt to get it to work. Problem is I only want the number to reroute to external cell at night.

Just to the external number? Reroute the hunt group for night 1 to the cell number?
