Hi everyone

I have some question about the Mitel CXi's Snmp trap service:

1. How can I make a SNMP trap test with out affecting my Mitel's services? Right now Im only enable/disbale the agent to generate the trap.

2. Im using a free SNMP trap receiver to see the trap sent like I always do with the BCM (Nortel)but Im only receiving three lines, instead of the BCM that give me a lot of information:
Decimal number
Call Manager IP
Decimal Number

Do I need the MIB file to get more information from the trap?

3. How can I enable alarm trap for some service like DHCP service stopped?

Thanks

Simplest method is to busy out a trunk. This will generate a minor alarm (or major depending on qty of trunks configured)

Many different alarms can be generated by busying out resources.

kwbMitel is correct. Busing out a trunk works well. But you may also want to gen major and critical alarms.
To do that change the threshold on the alarms.

Command to do "set thres trunks nil 0 nil"
that will gen a major.
"set thres trunks nil nil 0" will gen critical.

Be sure to set the threshold back or you could cuase a panic in the future for something pretty minor.
